On July 18, 2026, ULAB Library conducted an in-class training session for students enrolled in the MA course "ENG 0232-055-507: Research Methods" within the Applied Linguistics and TESOL track, organized by Professor Abdullah Al Mahmud from the Department of English and Humanities. The workshop was designed to equip students with essential skills in citation and referencing styles, plagiarism detection, and academic writing tools.

K. M. Hasan Emam, the Joint Librarian at ULAB, led the session, focusing on the use of Zotero for citation management, Turnitin for plagiarism detection, and the Draft Coach feature in Google Docs. Throughout the hour-long session, Mr. Hasan provided comprehensive guidance on how to efficiently use these tools to enhance students' research and academic writing skills.

Participants actively engaged in discussions, asking insightful questions and sharing their experiences with the tools. This workshop underscores ULAB's commitment to enhancing students' academic capabilities and ensuring they have access to vital resources for their research endeavors.
