Training on Turnitin for the students of Communication and Public Relation courses- Spring 2024

On 19 & 20 March 2024, the library organized four consecutive training sessions on Turnitin: Similarity detection software for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the following courses.

1. Strategic Public Relations: MSJ 11341 section 1 
2. Strategic Public Relations: MSJ 11341 section 2
3. Public Relations Research 1: MSJ 11342 
4. Communication theories: MSJ 5221 (Online Class)

The esteemed faculty member Habib M Ali from the Media Studies and Journalism department initiated the sessions and invited the library to conduct the training in his class. Noman Hossain from the library led this training while he discussed academic integrity and ways to avoid plagiarism. He provided a practical demonstration of the Turnitin software. 

Attendees actively participated in both the on-campus and online sessions by posing insightful questions and engaging in discussions. Their enthusiasm highlighted the value of the training in enhancing their academic and ethical writing practices. This initiative is a testament to the ULAB's commitment to providing students with the necessary tools and resources to succeed academically.
