Hello Librarian series-1 -Online Library Activities: pandemic & afterwards
Now education systems around the world have heavily relied on online learning systems for almost a year. Hence, the library is the focal point of learning, the importance of the online library has also been increased with the changing demands of the users. The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Library has organized a virtual talk series titled "Hello Librarian", a virtual platform for innovative and creative ideas, on February 4 to provide better services to the students. The event focuses on how online library services can be used during and after the Covid-19 epidemic.
Professor Dr. Din Mohammad Sumon Rahman, Department of Media Studies and Journalism, & Advisor, Library Affairs, ULAB has given welcome remarks in the session. M. Hossam Haider Chowdhury, Librarian & Library Head, Independent University Bangladesh (IUB); Md. Maidul Islam, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Information Science & Library Management, the University of Dhaka and A.K.M. Nurul Alam, Deputy Director, Research Department (Library), Bangladesh Bank was among the discussants and the program was moderated by K.M. Hasan Emam, Joint Librarian & Library Head, ULAB.
About 92 people from different university libraries and research institutes from India, Japan, Switzerland, Pakistan, Singapore, Australia, and Bangladesh participated in this program.
